I used to consider myself a pretty active person. I played sports all throughout high school, and was pretty good about going to the gym in college, especially during my last two years. Since graduating and working full time, I can't say I work out all too often – if I'm lucky, I'll go once a month. Still, I love activewear and the athleisure trend, and find myself reaching for this type of clothing for lounging around on the weekend, whether I'm running to grab coffee or go to the drugstore, or making a rare appearance at my gym.
I wanted to highlight some of my favorite activewear pieces, brands, and some of the best places to look for affordable gym clothes. Follow me on LiketoKnow. It for more posts featuring athleisure looks!
After being heavily influenced via Instagram, I decided to check out some Drunk Elephant products in recent months. The brand promises to remove all potentially damaging ingredients from its products – the typical ingredients that can cause irritation or acne. Drunk Elephant products are pricey, but based on Sephora and Instagram reviewers, you get what you pay for, and they really do work.
For as long as I can remember, I have been a lip balm addict. My drawers were filled with Lip Smackers at a young age, and as I got older and delved deeper into the beauty world, I graduated from $2 soda-flavored chapsticks to pricier luxury beauty options. I can't resist a lip balm with a nice scent and comfortable feel. So, with all of the hyped-up options on the market today, I thought I'd write a post comparing some of my more recent buys in the lip treatment category.
I've had my eye on Canada Goose coats for a while. The signature coyote fur hood, the red, white and blue patch... the coats are definitely showy, but make a statement nonetheless.
I've made do with hip-length down coats from the likes of Helly Hansen and Patagonia over the years. I would not have survived freezing cold winters in Kent, Connecticut without them, and they are my favorite to ski in because they provide warmth while still allowing ample mobility. However, now that I'm a bit older, I needed a coat that would cover past my hips and keep me warm when out and about during the winter. After a tough couple of weeks and serious burnout at work, I decided to do a little retail therapy and buy myself a Canada Goose jacket.
